(Seattle) Activity Assistant for Wellness Wednesdays

ORGANIZATION: Full Life Care

Support adults with disabilities engaging in Wellness Wednesdays activities, including coffee hour, light exercise, cognitive activities, art projects, reminiscence, and more.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and socialize with participants during their arrival, activity programs, and transition times.
  2. Facilitate set up and organization of community room environment.
  3. Assist and/or lead art and wellness activity programs.
  4. Provide positive encouragement to participants, supporting their engagement.

Skills:

  1. Experience or interest in working with elders or adults with disabilities, including individuals with dementia.
  2. Strong verbal communication skills, demonstrating attentiveness, patience, and compassion.
  3. Willingness to take initiative to engage with positive energy and enthusiasm.
  4. Comfort working in group and team settings.

Requirements:

  1. Must be at least 18 years old.
  2. Complete new volunteer application process.
  3. Pass Washington State Patrol background check.
  4. Complete an orientation and on-site training.
  5. Adhere to a confidentiality policy and pledge.

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
