Red River Community Corps needs your help! We are hosting a Poverty Simulation for our State AmeriCorps Members. As a part of our mid-term training experience, Red River Community Corps will be facilitating a Community Action Poverty Simulation, designed by Missouri Community Action Network*. We are in desperate need of volunteers to be a part of our Community Action Poverty Simulation as we train our Corps Members to better serve their community. In order for the Poverty Simulation to run successfully, a minimum of 20 volunteers are pivotal to utilize the roles in the simulated community. Volunteers who choose to participate will be trained the day before our schedule simulation for one hour and 30 minutes to prepare individuals for their experience. (Dinner will be provided!) The Community Action Poverty Simulation will be Thursday, March 12th from 8:30am- 1:00pm at OSU-TULSA Conference Center, 700 N Greenwood Ave. Tulsa, OK 74106. Training will be on March 11th from 6:00pm-7:30pm at the same location. We would also be willing to come to your location to complete this training if you have a large group that would like to volunteer. All volunteers will be invited to stay for lunch and share their experience with our State AmeriCorps Members. This is an eye opening and life changing experience for both volunteers and participants. Please consider volunteering.

Red River Community Corps has been trained and certified to deliver this Poverty Simulation through a written contract with the Missouri Community Action Agency. We are able to provide this training to other organizations as well. Please let me know if you have a group who can help us provide this training.
