We are looking for at least four Volunteer Pioneers to help us lead our group of Champions. The Volunteer Pioneer is a special role for a person who wants to assist in leading our amazing team of volunteers. This position will assist the Volunteer Engagement Chair and Arthritis Foundation staff member to recruit, train, evaluate, maintain and recognize individuals and group volunteers for all Georgia events. The candidate will help to schedule volunteers into shift work for Arthritis Foundation, Georgia events, and activities, based on organizational needs. Tasks for this position include contacting volunteers to confirm their shifts, keeping volunteers properly informed about their duties through e-mail and social media, and recruiting volunteers through local media, web, social media and outreach. The Volunteer Pioneer will also work with the chair and staff to develop a volunteer benefit and recognition program. We promise this will be a fun opportunity!
