If you can tie a shoelace and use a pair of scissors we invite you to have fun making no-sew fleece blankets for family members at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital.
Absolutely no sewing skills are required. We'll teach you the steps to making a cozy blanket that provides warmth and comfort to a family member who is bedside at the hospital with their sick child. Already have the skills? Please come!
Individuals under the age of 18 years are welcome to come when accompanied by a parent/adult.
We provide the fleece, scissors and instructions.
You need only bring yourself and a willingness to learn, participate and have fun! Thank you!

Mission Statement
The mission of There With Care is to provide a wide range of meaningful and fundamental services to families and children during the critical phase of a medical crisis. We serve families referred by medical agencies, by building a network of services and people who ease the burden of life's day-to-day obligations with compassion and care.
Description
The Bay Area Chapter was created in 2011, seven years after the founding chapter opened in Colorado. There With Care receives referrals from medical social workers at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Mission Bay, San Francisco. When a family receives a medical diagnosis of critical illness for their child, There With Care connects with the family and engages community members and organizations to volunteer to help ease the stress of their day-to-day life activities.
For information on the experiences of families and children facing critical illness; There With Care's programs and services, and ways to participate and support families, please visit our website: therewithcare.org (Select the "Bay Area" location.
We look forward to you joining the network of care and support that surrounds families. Thank you!
