Come join one of our Parks crews as we mulch Nash Square.
Volunteer Duties:
Volunteers will use wheelbarrows, pitchforks, hard rakes, and other tools as needed to help spread mulch in our landscaped beds.
Volunteer Impact:
Mulching our landscape beds does not only enhance the look of the park, it also helps with controlling weeds and water retention.
Work Environment:
We will be working outside in the elements, so dress accordingly. There is the possibility of uneven ground. We will be working next to a main road in downtown. There will be restrooms available in the Raleigh Municipal building.
Other Details:
We will supply tools, gloves, snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, and a first aid kit. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that can get dirty and sturdy, closed-toe shoes such as sneakers or hiking/work boots.
Volunteer Requirements:
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. All volunteers will need to fill out a release form.
Group Registration Information:
Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. A group leader must email rachel.vannoordt@raleighnc.gov to register. All groups will be required to provide a list of names and emails for their volunteers.
