Join Coastal Preservation Network and the NYC Parks Department's Stewardship Team to remove debris from Powell's Cove Park on Feb. 29. This day comes only once every four years, so make it count. Volunteers will also learn how to safely remove invasive plants from the shoreline to help create a healthier ecosystem. Space is limited; registration required. Go to www.nycparks.org/reg/stewardship/7959.
