Soarin' Hawk is looking for volunteers who want to be in ICU.

There are 3 jobs within ICU. Everyone starts as a helper and we encourage people to continue learning new skills. Helper- Housekeeping duties including cleaning cages, washing dishes, sweeping the floor. Preparing diet for birds

Assistant- Restrain and handled raptors for medical treatment. Evaluation of the bird. This position also include duties of the Helper.

Lead- Provides medical treatment for raptors including medicating, tube feeding, bandaging, and evaluation of the animal. This position also includes both duties of the Assistant and the Helper. We are willing to teach you anything you want to know. We would love to have you join our team!

Description

Soarin' Hawk is a not for profit wildlife rescue service established in 1996 to serve northeast Indiana's injured or orphaned birds of prey. We are fortunate to be able to offer our patients a blend of modern veterinary science (volunteer veterinary services, x-ray, laboratory, and aggressive post surgical physical therapy) and the ancient art of falconry (creance reconditioning, "hack" releases of orphans, and honing of hunting skills when needed).
