Petting Zoo - Home Educator's Association of VA

HEAV hosts one of the largest homeschool conventions in the country, with approximately 12,000 participants each year. The Richmond Symphony is giving the homeschooled children an opportunity to explore the possibilities of music through an instrument petting zoo. Kids (of all ages) can explore music by having volunteers (you) demonstrate your instrument and answer questions about instrumental music. Instruments will also be on display (not to touch). This is not an Instrument Petting Zoo out of concern over the spread of germs. Instrumentalists only please. Display instruments are provided by Muisc & Arts.

TRANSPORTATION: Greater Richmond Convention Center. Parking in the deck at 5th & Marshall will be paid for volunteers. Drop off instructions will be provided. GRTC Pulse has a stop at 4th (East) or Convention Center (West).

DRESS: Dress causally.

SHIFTS: Email me and I'll send you the Sign-up Genius link to select a shift. Please be prompt at the exhibit (details will be provided) to relieve the shift before you. Thank you!
