We work with an amazing group of women in Uganda providing fair wages for their creative works. We frequently sell jewelry at the Farmers Market in South Bend, Indiana. We are looking for volunteers to work at the market selling the products(jewelry made from recycled paper and other crafts) the women make. The market is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with Saturday being the busiest day. Tuesdays and Thursdays the hours are 8-3, but can be a shorter time in that range. Saturdays are 7-3, with you arriving at the market by 6am. The hours on Saturdays aren't really flexible.
Responsibilities would include:
- talking with customers about the mission and work of LOT2545 (we will brief you before you begin with FAQ)
- recording sales and reconciling money at the end of each shift
- turning in money from sales and inventory sheet after each shift to Volunteer Coordinator
You can see the women's work at our Etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/lot2545
