Every time you turn around there is something new and exciting happening in Washington Square Park, and we need your help to capture every moment!
The WSPC Photography Volunteer Program provides an opportunity for interested volunteers to become an official Washington Square Park photographer.
We ask photographers to volunteer approximately 6 hours each month and participate in an orientation session. Set your own schedule and/or sign up to capture specific Park events.
We're looking for those who already know their way around a camera with some experience under their belt. (But you don't need to be a professional!)
Apply by March 31st at https://washingtonsqpark.org/volunteer/ Orientations take place in April.

Description
Washington Square Park is beloved open space in the heart of Greenwich Village in New York City. Spanning 9.75 acres, this iconic Park with its signature arch designed by Stanford White and dramatic central fountain is one of Manhattan’s most popular landmarks. The Park serves many functions for a diverse usership, acting as critical green space, a village square, playground, concert hall, reading room, gym, campus quad, theater, and more. And it’s busy! The Park hosts 12 million visits a year, making Washington Square the busiest Park per square foot in all of NYC. You can make a difference by lending a hand at our monthly clean-ups, bringing your corporate team for a morning of giving back, or commit to a longer volunteer experience through our Greeter/Guide, Washington Square Waterers, and Clean Team volunteer programs.
