WSPC is accepting new volunteers into its Wednesday Weeder Volunteer Program.
Washington Square Park is lush with plantlife, and our gardeners need your help to keep it looking beautiful! Volunteers will learn the ins and outs of urban gardening and give back to their community.
Our Wednesday Weeders are a small group of committed volunteers who work under the guidance of gardening staff at the Park. You’ll learn about the Park's horticulture while lending a helping hand with tasks such as weeding, planting, mulching, raking, and more.
Volunteering takes place Wednesday mornings in season, April - December, weather permitting
