Choral Arts needs friendly music lovers to act as ushers, ticket takers, and to help with reception set up/clean up. Shifts are 3-7 and 7-10:45. Concert description below:

Strong. Resilient. Unstoppable. The Women of the Choral Arts Chorus and the Choral Arts Chamber Singers will showcase the breadth, depth, and richness of choral music composed by a diverse group of women whose creativity and talent are beyond formidable. Join Scott Tucker and guest conductor Gisèle Becker for a program of music that vividly evokes issues close to the hearts of composers such as Melissa Dunphy , Carol Barnett , and Undine Smith Moore

PLEASE NOTE: Melissa Dunphy’s Listen sets testimony by Anita Hill in 1991 and Christine Blasey Ford in 2018 to music. The work confronts singers and listeners with their challenging and powerful words. The text may not be advisable for patrons under the age of 18.

Mission Statement

To reawaken human capacity for awe through the power of choral music. At Choral Arts, we envision a world where powerful human experiences move people to find shared purpose, discover shared passion, and connect with the music within themselves.

Description

Experience. Passion. Harmony. Space. This is choral music.

At Choral Arts, we sing the music we love as a balm to frenzied days, an antidote to solitude, a union in an often-fractured world. We sing for a city with little time and high expectations, which compels us to transform a night out into a lifelong memory.

Founded in 1965 by Norman Scribner (1936-2015), Choral Arts has a rich history of bringing the power of the human voice to audiences large and small. We weave our shared passion, world-class repertoire, and radiant voices into a sound that changes people. We advance the story of choral music by partnering with a myriad of musicians, composers, and ensembles.
