Do you enjoy sewing or quilting?Advantage Hospice invites you to join our "memories are made" team!
Volunteers like yourself, with your talent, compassion, and creativity, can make a life-long difference to individuals grieving the loss of a loved one. As a Memories are Made volunteer, you will use the clothing item(s) of a loved one who has passed to create a "Memory Bear" or "Mini-Quilts"for individuals that have experienced a loss. Each creation is truly one-of-a-kind and is so meaningful to the families we serve.

Description
The focus of Hospice relies on the belief that each of us has the right to die pain-free and with dignity, and that our loved ones will receive the necessary support to allow us to do so.
Hospice focuses on caring, not curing and in most cases care is provided in the person’s home.
Hospice care also is provided in freestanding hospice centers, hospitals, nursing homes and other long-term care facilities.
Hospice services are available to patients of any age, religion, race, or illness.
Hospice care is covered under Medicare, Medi-Cal, most private insurance plans, HMOs, and other managed care organizations.
