Be part of San Jose's Open Streets event!

Volunteers will command the intersections where there is cross traffic! As participants bike, jog, walk and peddle, volunteers will ensure that they are safe! This very important volunteer opportunity also includes helping count all the participants! It's a fun way to make a difference AND be part of an exciting, city-wide event!
All training and supplies are provided!
Groups of 8 are ideal.
Groups under 8 people can volunteer. We'll pair your group with a similar group and make an awesome team!
Groups with over 8 people can volunteer and share duties!

The mission of the Volunteer Management Unit is to create and support opportunities for community participation, in partnership with staff, which support successful completion of projects and programs to enhance the maintenance of public parks and the delivery of services for the benefit of the public.
Description
The City of San Jose Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Services Division's Volunteer Management Unit serves the community by providing meaningful, safe and inspiring volunteer projects for those that enjoy the healthy benefits of environmental and community service.
