United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley (UWGLV) is looking for Talk, Read, Sing volunteers who will engage with five to eight trusted messengers two to four hours each month. They will deliver our campaign materials and chat with points of contact. Our Ambassadors establish the human connection of why we are running a Talk, Read, Sing campaign, what that means for the community, and why trusted messengers are so necessary to get the message out there. It is our hope that Talk, Read, Sing Ambassadors establish a partnership with trusted messengers.
Together, they strive to spread the importance of talking, reading and singing to children in our communities, working with us to envision the future of our goals at hand: kindergarten readiness and increasing the number of third grade students reading at grade level.
In addition, other volunteer opportunities include reading to students, tabling at events, and engaging with families on the mission of Talk, Read, Sing.

United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley is one of 1,800 United Ways around the world. United Way partners include global, national and local businesses, nonprofits, civic and faith organizations, as well as educators, labor, health organizations, government and more.
Out of all the United Ways across the globe, United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley is in the top 40! In fact, our local United Way Alliance on Aging and our Community School model each won runner-up awards to the prestigious "Common Good Award" given by United Way Worldwide nationally to a United Way initiative that is making real change in the community.
