First Tee Coach - Shoal Creek Golf Course
ORGANIZATION: The First Tee of Greater Kansas City
Please visit the new page to apply.
We are looking for individuals who can help us administer our junior golf program in the Shoal Creek/Hodge Park Area of North Kansas City. The First Tee of Greater Kansas City seeks to teach kids about important life skills and life-enhancing values through teaching them the game of golf. Our classes meet once a week and run for 6 weeks. We will have 4 sessions (Spring, Summer I, Summer II, Fall) throughout the year. We are asking for individuals who want to use their experience with the game of golf to make an impact in their community. Our Shoal Creek classes are on Tuesday-Thursday evenings this Spring and we ask that volunteers make it to as many lessons in the 6-week session that they can, so that kids get consistent coaching. You can pick to help out with a specific night or multiple nights, the scheduling will all be handled by our Program Director, Jonathan Bee (see email below).
*Volunteers must go through our standard background check procedure before working with kids in the program*
Please email me at jbehee@thefirstteekc.org if you have any additional questions or are interested

Description
The First Tee of Greater Kansas City - Programming Volunteer
The overarching quality that any good volunteer has is a great attitude, someone who wants to be there, smiles easily and shows up when asked and stays until scheduled. Additionally a volunteer has to recognize that they are part of a team that helps young people learn to live by our Nine Core Values™ of honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment. An exemplary volunteer will display consistency in their demeanor and interactions with PLAYers (participants), parents, guardians, coaches, chapter office and facility staff.
