Deliver pastoral care to clients of all faith backgrounds providing comfort during their recuperation in Escondido at our Hawthorne Veteran and Family Resource Center or during their stay at our Haven House Year-round Shelter. Ensure spiritual needs of clients are met, and resources are available for their well-being.

  • Deliver and arrange appropriate pastoral care to center and shelter guests, their loved ones, staff, and volunteers.
  • Actively participate in the delivery of pastoral care.
  • Respond to requests for pastoral care in a timely manner.
  • Support an interdisciplinary approach to pastoral care.

  • Must be at least 21
  • Orientation or Training
  • This is an ongoing (6+ months), weekly commitment. Schedules vary and are negotiable (once a week; bi-weekly, monthly)
  • Background in counseling, psychology or theology requiring a high degree of emotional energy and mental alertness. Desire and skill to work with a diverse population, communicating respectfully across cultures and with persons of different faiths.
