Visit www.sosc.org for volunteer opportunities

Special Olympics Southern California’s (SOSC) vision is to promote acceptance, inclusion, and well-being for people with intellectual disabilities through sports. Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities. Through the power of sports, our athletes discover new strengths and abilities, skills, and success - on the playing field and in life.

Global Messengers are athlete leaders who help spread the message and vision of the movement, as well as the benefits they have gained by participating in Special Olympics. Global Messenger Mentors work alongside Global Messengers to develop their confidence, relationship building, and speaking abilities as they take on new leadership challenges beyond the field of play.
