The Maui Walk to End Alzheimer's is an annual fundraising event that raises awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.
During this COVID-19 crisis, families dealing with the implications of Alzheimer's disease still need our help- especially as this virus particularly affects our seniors. The funds we raise will continue to support free local (now virtual) programs including classes, support groups and a 24/7 helpline to assist families in need, as well as fund much needed research to determine a cause and cure for Alzheimer's disease.
Volunteers are the charging force of this successful fundraising campaign each year, and assist in planning all aspects of the walk from initial recruitment to the event day itself. The recruitment committee is responsible for the recruitment of new and returning walk teams, participants and sponsors. The focus will be on expanding to all sectors of the community and growing corporate team involvement in the event.
The committee meets VIRTUALLY once a month for one hour. We will provide you with all the training and resources needed to have a successful and fulfilling volunteer experience.
