Muster the troops! Welcome enthusiastic school groups to Historic Fort Snelling and direct them to learning opportunities according to their itinerary.
You'll be guiding students and chaperones to their destinations. You'll orient them to the fort and direct them to a variety of activities so they have the best possible learning opportunity. You may also drive a golf cart to deliver people or information to their destinations.
This is an active, outdoor position. Enjoy the spring air during a weekly shift on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays, 8:30 am - 1 pm, April 15 through June 10.
Choose one training session, 9:30 am-12:30 pm on Wednesday, April 1 or Thursday, April 9. Learn about the fort and its history as well as techniques for working with large groups. Become part of the volunteer and staff team!
Historic Fort Snelling is the premier site for understanding the origins of Minnesota as a state, its people, and its significance in our nation’s history. While you assist young learners, you'll expand your own knowledge too!
