The Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Friendly Visiting Program is seeking a Spanish speaking volunteers to speak to seniors living on the Upper East Side and East Harlem. If you are a fluent Spanish language speaker and would be willing to call a senior 2-3 times per week to check in with them, please let us know!

This program is managed in partnership with the NYC Department for the Aging.

To be eligible to volunteer, volunteers must be able to complete and send back an application and background check form. The background check forms requires submission of personal information including your social security number.

Description

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House was founded in 1894 by the Alumnae Association of Normal College (now known as Hunter College of the City University of New York) as a free kindergarten for the children of indigent immigrants. Since then, we have remained at the forefront of community advocacy and social and educational change.
