We are looking for folks to distribute flyers and ask survey questions in the area of North Lawndale and Little Village near the Kedzie stop on Pink line. Training is provided. The survey is about a project for residents improving the area with the arts, attracting businesses, and building a resource center.

We are also looking for people to help plan and implement an ArtWalk in this same area. Training provided.
Please contact for more info.

The following is a general description of the larger project, We also need help in many areas!

Monthly Meeting to discuss the possibilities for the area around the Kedzie pink line stop. There is nothing there right now. What if we beautified the area, developed & encouraged the addition of businesses and more residents in the area? How about bringing entrepreneurs to the area? It is ugly and empty right now. What if there were flower beds, informational kiosks, flags waving in the breeze, sculptures, and positive things to do in this area? What if we build a resource center building on the N.E. corner where 21st meets Kedzie? What if the building had storefronts with a gallery, spoken word cafe, youth program, florist shop & thrift store training & employing people with disabilities, community meeting space on the 1st floor? What if the 2nd & 3rd floors had work spaces for area entrepreneurs, services, businesses? Imagine an art walk for North Lawndale & Little Village. Picture volunteers working in pairs at the CTA stop, welcoming passengers with brochures about things to do in the area of both communities & improving security! Now, imagine that you are taking part in it's early development??!! Please consider becoming a part of helping North Lawndale & Little Village become greater & happier by changing this portal to both communities for the better.

What can people do?
