ORGANIZATION: Real Change Homeless Empowerment Project

As a small nonprofit with a small amount of staff, Real Change relies very heavily on wonderful volunteers to help with the weekly, important tasks that must get done to maintain our success!

Position Description: We are looking for a fantastic volunteer to come into the Real Change office every Wednesday morning for 2-3 hours to upload recently-released content (articles and images) to the Real Change website. Using easy-to-follow guidelines and a brief in-person training, you will use our file network to upload this content. This position will involve copying and pasting text, ensuring that formatting is correct, and making minor editorial decisions about image placement and other small details.

Skills:

  • Extensive web experience or editorial experience are NOT needed.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Tech-savvy, but every duty needed for this role is teachable if you feel comfortable
  • Organized and methodical
  • Ability to work independently, following training and with instructions to guide you
  • Ability or desire to work "behind the scenes" in our upstairs office.

Time Commitment: Every Wednesday morning (we are flexible on time, but not on the day) for about 2-3 hours. After a few shifts and once you get the hang of your weekly duties, it may take less than 2-3 hours to complete.
