Each month Butler Soil and Water Conservation District picks a conservation project to focus on. In April 22, we will be focusing our efforts along the old Miami Erie Canal and along the old ice pond at Gilmore Ponds. A lot of trash is carried into the canal, which drains into the wetlands. These wetlands are an important habitat for many species including great egrets, blue and green herons, and midland painted turtles.

Parking: Please use the parking lot on Bobmeyer Rd/Gilmore Rd.

Bring: Clothes that can get muddy. Rubber boots will be helpful.

We will bring: Gloves, garbage bags, garbage grabbers, water, and tshirts.
