Greentree Park is located along the Meramec River. This 89-acre park offers recreational opportunities unavailable in other parks. The park features a mile long stretch of the Meramec River Greenway Trail, and connects to additional trails in neighboring Simpson Park, operated by St. Louis County Parks and Recreation. The trail was expanded to include a paved path through the newly designed wetlands. The remote controlled car track is currently operated by the Dirt Burners Remote Controlled Car Track club.
The conservation goal is to keep invasive bush honeysuckle from taking over the wetlands. Join me once a month to begin clearing near the wetlands. Due to its close proximity to the river, the park is subject to seasonal flooding. Some events may be canceled.
