Community Food Bank In Church

Several North Metro churches operate food banks on their premises which are staffed by volunteers.

Help to unload food supplies and put them onto shelves. Assist clients of the food bank with their visits.

Terms: Sites are handicapped accessible, Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age

Mission Statement

The mission of The Senior Hub is to advance the quality of life for older adults through advocacy, community partnerships, and a variety of direct services planned to sustain an independent, healthy aging experience.

Description

The Senior Hub's programs are designed to engage older Americans in meaningful volunteer activities in their local communities, and to provide services which will allow them to remain independently in their homes for as long as possible.

Senior Hub's RSVP - SHOUT (Senior Hub Outreach) helps people to find service opportunities in their own communities that match their personal interests and utilize their skills and lifelong experiences. Volunteers schedules are flexible and hours range from 2-20 hours a week.
