We are POSTPONING our first volunteer day of 2020 due to COVID 19. If you are looking for something to do outside in a peaceful place, check out the the kiosk at the entrance for a "Task List."
We'll be weeding, mulching and raking, just generally working hard to make the park a little more beautiful. Yes, it's yard work...but it's in beautiful Hal Warheim Park, the best little secret park in the Belknap Neighborhood. Come for one hour or all 3. We'll assign a task based on the amount of time you have. No experience needed. Kids and pets welcome. 9 am to noon.

The park's maintenance, preservation, and improvements are managed by the Warheim Park Association Board of Directors, an all-volunteer group of individuals comprised of residents in the immediate neighborhood. Warheim Park Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and funds reside at the Community Foundation of Louisville.

Hal Warheim Park - the best secret park in the Belknap Neighborhood in the Highlands! Description
In 1974, Hal Warheim purchased an undeveloped remnant of land bounded by residential lots fronting on Overlook Terrace, Yale Drive and Boulevard Napoleon in Louisville, Kentucky. "The Woods," as it was called by neighborhood residents, was overgrown and unkempt, but Hal saw its potential - as a redeemed green space, and a neighborhood park that could be enjoyed by the entire community. The dream became a reality in 2004, and has been a popular gathering spot since.
