Garden in Kirkwood Park or in the Special Business District in downtown Kirkwood. Staff horticulturists lead volunteers through a variety of gardening tasks. Volunteers make a commitment to volunteer one day a week, Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am-11:00 am. Activities include planting weeding, trimming, pruning, deadheading, collecting seeds and other activities as needed. Gardening tools are provided. This volunteer opportunity is open from March-November for individuals 15 years of age and older.

Description
The Kirkwood Parks system incorporates 14 different parks ranging in size from the 125-acre Emmenegger Nature Park all the way down to several neighborhood parks of less than half an acre. The center piece of the park system is Kirkwood Park, the original park established in the City in 1941.
