Do you have a registered or certified therapy dog that is eager to bring smiles and comfort to someone's day?

Consider sharing your furbaby with patients on hospice care.

Our patients live throughout MN. We have a strong need for teams in and around the Princeton, Zimmerman, Milaca area. You will be strategically matched with patients based on geographic preferences. Volunteering is very flexible. You accept assignments based on your availability. The time you spend volunteering each week is flexible and will be scheduled directly with patients and/or caregivers.

Proof of current pet therapy certification or registration is required. No medical experience is necessary. You will not be required to provide personal cares or administer medications.

Health screening, background check, and training provided at no cost to you.

Description

When life expectancy is limited, Accentcare Fairview Hospice staff and volunteers will help patients and caregivers focus on improving the quality of their remaining days. Hospice provides medical, emotional, social and spiritual care. We bring these services to the familiar setting of patient's own homes whenever possible. The same kind of care may also be given at a long-term care site, a group home, an assisted living site or a residential hospice.
