Skagit Habitat's mission is to bring people together to build homes, hope, and community in Skagit Valley. We are blessed to be a part of a wonderfully multicultural part of Washington. We often have customers, volunteers, Homebuyers, and future partner families who speak Spanish as a first or only language that come to our organization to shop, donate, volunteer, or partner with us for our affordable housing program. Because of this, we’re looking for help with written (in-person or remote) Spanish-English translation, and/or verbal translation for in-person events.

Volunteer Translators would be trained in the basics of our housing program and/or our Store policies to best assist Spanish-language patrons with what they need, and would always be able to reach a senior volunteer or a staff member to help with any extra questions the translator or Spanish-speaking patron would have. Translators would serve remotely and/or in-person at the Store at 1022 Riverside Drive in Mount Vernon, and would also be able to join staff and volunteers at other sites and special events.

Interested? Please visit SkagitHabitat.com/Volunteers to fill out an Inquiry, and we will reach out to you!
