Be a champion for a rescue dog!
Do you love dogs and want to help rescued animals in your county? Drive a dog to the vet! Go to the foster dog’s home, meet and greet the pup, and drive the dog to the vet’s office. There you will provide comfort to the dog and gather any medical information from the office visit. Then drive the dog back to its foster home and let the foster family know of any issues found during the vet visit.
Just two hours a week could make a huge difference in the life of one dog! Vet appointments can be made to fit your schedule. A volunteer will go with you until you are comfortable taking a dog on your own.

Mission Statement
The mission of SHARP, a 501(c) 3 is to assist dogs and cats in need and promote spay/neuter surgeries in Polk County, TN.
Description
As the only nonprofit animal welfare organization in Polk County, TN, SHARP fosters homeless dogs and cats until they are adopted. All animals are fully vetted including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and heartworm/tick and flea prevention before adoption. To reduce the number of stray dogs and cats in this area, SHARP provides low cost spay/neuter surgeries to low-income residents. We depend on donations, grants, and fundraising events to cover the vet and foster costs.
