Heartland Hospice is looking for volunteers in the south or north area for friendly visits and companionship .
At Heartland ,we depend on our hospice volunteers to help us provide the love ,respect and care our patients and their families need . Some volunteers interact directly with patients and families,while others prefer to work behind the scenes in the office setting .As a volunteer ,you would help us decide which tasks you are comfortable performing.
Our Volunteers help enrich the lives of our patients by :
Running errands for patients and families.
Staying with patients so families family members can get a much-needed rest .
Reading or providing a comforting touch.
Playing or singing soothing music to patients .
Helping with office support tasks at the agency .
Providing a friendly visits to lift a patient's spirits

Description
Friendly visitor volunteers needed at patients home or skill nursing facility.
Volunteers should be able to offer support to patients facing a terminal illness and their families, they should feel comfortable visiting them at home.
The friendly visitor volunteer will provide companionship for patients and /or assist with errands or other duties to the patients or caregivers.
At home or at a skill nursing facility they can : Read , sing ,pray, play music ( instrument ), talk to the patient, bring over therapy pets, play games, do some art work or simply keep them company.
We have patient in different areas.
