Direct Care Volunteers help by providing support and care to our patients and their family members. You can make a difference by...
· Reading aloud
· Playing music
· Creating scrapbooks
· Writing letters or journaling
· Sitting with a patient so caregivers have free time
· Simply providing a comforting presence
Visits are typically 1-3 hours a week; shifts are flexible and based on your availability. All attempts are made to keep travel to within a 30-minute drive. Volunteers are required to be at least 18 years old unless accompanied by another trained adult volunteer (usually a parent or guardian).
