In light of the recommendations from Public Health Seattle & King County, the City of Kirkland Parks Department has decided to cancel most recreation programs and volunteer events through April 26 including Green Kirkland volunteer events. We are planning to resume events on April 27 subject to guidance from Public Health and the City of Kirkland.Join the Green Kirkland Partnership to help with the restoration of Juanita Bay Park most Friday mornings in 2020, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
Volunteers will spend the morning doing a mix of restoration activities which may include removing aggressive invasive species like ivy and blackberry, spreading mulch over cleared areas and planting native trees, shrubs and ground covers. No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us! This event is led by a volunteer Green Kirkland Steward. Join us once or on an ongoing basis!

About Green Kirkland Partnership
123 5th Street Kirkland, Kirkland, WA 98033, US
Our Mission is to restore and maintain healthy forested and natural parklands by building a supportive community that works together to protect Kirkland’s valuable natural resources for current and future generations. Achieving this involves training and supporting volunteers in restoration activities.
The Green Kirkland Partnership is an alliance between the City of Kirkland, nonprofit partners, businesses and the community to restore almost 500 acres of natural parkland in the City. The majority of the restoration efforts are accomplished by our dedicated volunteers. These volunteers may join us just one time or volunteer again and again. It takes everyone to restore our natural areas!
