CC’s Data Analysis, Research, and Technology (DART) team is currently seeking an intern to support the agency’s ongoing data analysis and business intelligence projects.

Summary of Position Responsibilities
As the Business Intelligence and Analytics Intern in the DART team at CC, you will support a broad base of internal customers ranging from accounting to shared services, and more. Tasks may include collecting data and information from various sources; using statistical and other software to merge, format, and summarize data for analysis; automation, report writing, and dashboard development; analytics; requirements gathering; and data visualization projects. The position will also help with research and evaluation projects as time allows including working with qualitative and quantitative data from surveys (and setting them up), data from focus groups, participate in research design and logic modeling, and writing technical and informational reports. (~20-30%).

We value internal customer service skills and are looking for a candidate who is well organized and eager to learn new skills. The individual hired will receive on the job-experience from one of the Twin Cities largest non-profit organizations that spans both Minneapolis and St. Paul and works with many different databases, data types, and business intelligence tools (Power BI and SSRS, among others).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Working towards a B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or Social Science discipline with above average technical skills
  • Experience with T-SQL (or the ability to quickly learn on own initiative)
  • The successful candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills and a passion for learning new things.
  • Excellent project management, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required; experience with data visualization and statistical analysis software strongly preferred.
  • The ability to work independently, but also work as a team and prioritize/manage multiple projects.
