Time to "Wake Up the Wildlife Garden" at Merrimac Farm WMA!
Prince William Conservation Alliance is seeking volunteers to prepare the Wildlife Garden for spring. Tasks include removing last years plants (we leave them standing to help beneficial insects survive the winter) and removing invasive plants. Please contact alliance@pwconserve.org for questions and to RSVP. We sure could use your help!
The Wildlife Garden at Merrimac Farm creates an area in the community where people and the environment can come together as one.
Over the past few years, we've planted hundreds of trees, shrubs, and perennials, and the Wildlife Garden is looking terrific. Now we need your help to keep the garden free of invasive plants.
Come on down, and make sure to wear long pants, sturdy shoes, long socks, and a hat to keep the sun off!
Questions to alliance@pwconserve.org or 703-499-4954. RSVP appreciated.
