Calling all Spanish Speakers!
Each year Catholic Charities runs an IRS-sponsored Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. The site provides tax assistance to low- and moderate-income families on Saturdays. Volunteers will typically perform one of two functions: assisting Spanish speaking customers in preparing intake forms and interpretation for the tax preparers who do not speak Spanish.
Spanish-English volunteers are needed to help. Volunteers will receive a short training on-site before they begin volunteering.

Volunteer Requirements:
- 18 year of age or older
- Fluent in Spanish-English (Bilingual)
- Patient and flexible

Description
For more than 80 years, families, children and adults in need of help and hope have been able to turn to Catholic Charities to find comprehensive, caring and competent support. Last year our 63 programs working in 48 locations across the District of Columbia and the surrounding Maryland counties served more than 126,000 men, women and children of all economic, religious and social backgrounds.
