The Luminaria Ceremony is a time of remembrance and hope. It’s how we honor survivors and those
we’ve lost to cancer. In it, we also demonstrate our hope that we will one day know a world without cancer.
The Luminaria Ceremony is often the most memorable moment of a participant’s Relay experience. It is essential that the ceremony is quiet and reverent, and that it gradually builds to an ending filled
with inspiration and hope.
I'm seeking 4-5 volunteers to assist with offering luminaria bags to participants during the day, and 4-5 volunteers to assist with the ceremony at night.
For additional information contact me at Graham.Kobs@cancer.org with questions. I'm happy to provide all the training you could possibly need. This is a highly impactfull, relevant, and emotional opportunity to experience with the community. Please consider volunteering for this role and thank you for the support!
