Art Spark Texas


This project rakes place on Saturdays, starting March 28, with no class on Easter weekend. Classes rin from 1:00 - 4:00 pm in Central Austin. A showcase is scheduled for Sunday, May 10, from 1:00 - 2:00pm. Duties include: assist writing instructor with small group classes with adults with disabilities. Classes center around personal narrative and preparation of public presentation of their story. Most assistance will be help with physical writing activities, coaching, other duties as needed by the class instructor. Some experience with writing and public speaking a help, but not required.

We support this by offering programs that enable educational achievement and career success, events that feature the work of our artists, and specialized arts training for artists, educators and service providers.

Recognizing that every person has a voice that deserves to be heard, Art Spark Texas partners with supporters, volunteers, community organizations, educators, and state and local governments across Texas to promote and facilitate people with and without disabilities working together to create inclusive and strong communities.

We challenge ourselves and our communities to build bridges and strength by making cultural programming and venues available to all.
