Are you looking to make an impact directly with clients? This is the volunteer position for you! The Lansing Area AIDS Network is proud to host an on-site food pantry to ensure that those facing difficulties living with HIV have access to fresh food supplies. Food Pantry Delivery Volunteers are vital in making sure people get the food they need right to their doorstep!
The Pantry Delivery Volunteer will be trained to:
- Determine which clients get which pre-packed boxes
- Securely and confidentially deliver food to the client's porch
- Notify the client that their delivery has been made
Without your help in this position we would not be able to meet the needs of our clients!
Details:
- Minimum age: 18
- Shifts are available to fit your schedule!
- Tuesday
- 1pm - 4pm
- Thursday
- 1pm - 4pm
- Must commit to one shift per month minimum
- Weekly commitment is preferred
- Complete a background check
- A finding on the background check does not immediately disqualify you from volunteering with LAAN, but may be used in determining shifts and positions that are offered to the volunteer
- Go through a Volunteer Orientation at tour the office
- Complete HIV 101 training (approx. 3 hours online)
- Must have own vehicle with valid driver's license and proof of insurance

The Lansing Area AIDS Network (LAAN) is dedicated to providing emotional, psychosocial, practical and spiritual support to those affected by HIV and AIDS. LAAN promotes independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life for those living with HIV or AIDS and facilitates the delivery of comprehensive case management services for individuals and families. LAAN provides free educational materials to those seeking accurate and updated information and offers free anonymous HIV Antibody Counseling and Testing. Description
The Lansing Area AIDS Network is a non-profit AIDS Service Organization (ASO) dedicated to providing a compassionate and meaningful response to those affected by HIV and AIDS in our community. LAAN employs volunteers to assist with answering phones, transporting clients to medical appointments, staffing our food pantry, buddy support and special fundraising benefits.
