Stay United: Volunteerism for Retirees March Coffee and CausesTopic: "Choose Love" Enrichment Program in Nashua SchoolsMarch 6th, 2020
meet ...other retirees who want to volunteer talk...with new friends who share your interests learn...about how you can help United Way's "Coffee and Causes" gatherings are a great way for retirees to learn about major issues facing our community and how to advocate for their solutions. Each month we invite a few experts to tell us a little bit about their topic after we spend some time mingling. Lively discussion is encouraged! Scientific evidence shows that children who have social and emotional learning get better grades and test scores, higher attendance and graduation rates, better classroom and school climate, increased positive relationships and connections, less stress and anxiety, less behavioral issues, and less bullying.

During our monthly "Coffee and Causes" talk, we'll be learning how retirees can help support inclusion of these values in school curricula in Nashua and around the region through the "Choose Love" Enrichment Program. Shannon Desilets, Program Coordinator for the effort in New Hampshire will speak about the project. Coffee and other refreshments will be served.Location: Hunt Community, 10 Allds Street, Nashua, NH Date: Friday, March 6, 2020 Time: 10:00am - 11:30am Register here: https://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/eventReg?oeidk=a07egwqyv89cf8fc7b2&oseq=&c=&ch=or Contact Sara Ceaser at (603)864-0201 or sceaser@unitedwaynashua.org
