Lantern Community Services is a social services organization that provides services to people who are formerly homeless or have recently aged out of foster care. We do this through our supportive housing program, which is based on the latest evidence of what provides the most benefit to our clients. Our programs support our clients in the areas of health, employment, education, and life skills and are delivered inside our residences.
Currently, we are looking for beauticians or beauty students who can provide makeovers to our residents for our Self Care Day on February 27th from 2:00-4:00pm. Many of our clients don't have the opportunity to enjoy services like these regularly, so it would be great to provide them with your help! Please contact soon if you are interested!

Description
Lantern is grounded in the mission to champion the independence and well-being of New Yorkers who are impacted by or threatened with homelessness. Our objective is to make sure that our residents can find and maintain stable housing through emergency shelter and supportive housing. Our on-site social services bring residents and staff together to create opportunities for personal recovery, wellness and growth. We have 16 supportive housing buildings located in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx, and three shelters based in Manhattan and Queens.
