WVCS needs volunteers to help your community by preparing taxes free of charge for clients with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) or Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Programs. You will receive training to provide free tax help for low-to-moderate income families who need assistance in preparing taxes. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is a national program created by the IRS to assist low-income individuals or families with their taxes. All volunteers will be asked to commit some time during the tax season from January through April 2020. No experience required.
For more information about the VITA program, contact Jade Bradley at 408-255-8078 or jadeb@wvcommunityservices.org. Sign up here for more information on the volunteer opportunity and training https://volunteer.uwba.org/opportunity/ a8I4O000001VnStUAK
