Lunch Service - Chops Inc 2020 Summer Season

Chops Drum & Bugle Corps is looking for regular volunteers to help with serving lunch for corps members and staff throughout our 2020 summer season.
Duties include:
- Setting up/taking down shade canopies/tents
- Setting up/taking down buffet tables
- Setting up food warmers
- Filling water coolers
- Setting out/arranging food
- Mixing up batches of lemonade and Gatorade
- Cleanup
Additionally looking for:
- People to help prepare food (in advance, at home)
- Main course, sides, and/or dessert
- Food/ingredients will be provided/paid for by Chops
- Must accommodate a variety of special diets, including vegetarian, gluten-free/dairy-free, and diabetic
- Some on-site cooking options available upon request
- Serving approx. 30 members and staff
Incentives:
- Free lunch for all volunteers
- Those who volunteer with us 10 or more times (approx. 80% volunteer attendance) are eligible to be a volunteer helper/chaperone for DCI Finals in Indianapolis Aug 6-8.
- Transportation, hotel, tickets to DCI Semi-finals, and some meals included.
- Limited volunteer spots available for finals; preference given to parent volunteers first.

Sun 8/2 - breakfast @ Le Sueur, MN (Parade Day)

Mission Statement
Chops Inc. serves youth and adults from around Minnesota and Wisconsin who are passionate about music. We provide free education outreach programs to Minnesota schools, exposing more than 1,000 kids every year to new musical experiences. We have performance opportunities with our drum & bugle corps, colorguard, indoor percussion group, and steel drum ensembles. And we continually give back to the community through charitable donations to residents in need and other local programs.
Description
Chops Inc. is an award-winning, independent performing arts organization based in Minneapolis/St. Paul. We are best known for our all-age drum and bugle corps that competes nationally with Drum Corps International (DCI). You may have seen us perform locally at your city's parade. We like to have fun, but we're serious about putting on a great show for everyone!

- Background Check
- Must be at least 12
- 3 hours per day, minimum 7 days spread throughout the spring and summer. Ideally looking for season-long help (15 days total).
- Passion for music, drum corps, marching band, and/or colorguard preferred, but not mandatory. This is a fun group!
