In support of NJ Audubon’s Development team/Corporate & Foundation Relations, help NJ Audubon with special center events for corporate volunteer days, which are targeted at conservation. Responsibilities include helping in the following areas:
- set-up events(1.5 to 2 hours usually the day before 2-5 pm)
- serve at events (variable);
- clean-up and take down events (1.5 to 2 hours following the event - usually early afternoon 1-2:30 pm); and,
- optionally taking pictures (via cell phone) of the participants during the events (3-4 hours plus time to send the pictures to the organizer).
Most events occur during the work week (Monday through Friday) in Spring and Fall and take place at the Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary. The events are ad hoc and usually there is at least a 2 week notice of when the event will occur. You can volunteer separately for each responsibility (i.e., you don’t have to do all of the responsibilities.) If there enough volunteers, they should be able to work in pairs, which facilitates set-up and clean-up and take-down.
The set-up and break-down are usually indoor and require the ability to move tables and chairs. Picture taking requires you to be outside with the corporate volunteers and to be able to negotiate the uneven ground of the nature trails.

- Develop, encourage, and support sound conservation practices, programs, and legislation.

- Advance knowledge of New Jersey's flora and fauna, and their relationships to the habitats on which they depend, through field research.
- Acquire, establish, and maintain wildlife sanctuaries and educational centers.
New Jersey Audubon maintains stewardship of 34 sanctuaries and conducts its programs through nine staffed facilities.
