Providence ElderPlace-PACE is an innovative program of services for older adults. Providence ElderPlace helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible.

Adult Day Health Program Assistant: Our West Seattle Adult Day Health program is growing fast. We would love to have you join us in our important service to our elders.

When: Our Adult Day Health program, located on the second floor of the Mt. St. Vincent building, runs Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm. Volunteers can serve one or more days, and four hours or less daily. Volunteers assist participants moving from group to group such as Bingo, exercise, art, etc..They help participants through the cafeteria line and may encourage participants to eat. They may escort participants for walks or visits to the Thrift shop and sit and talk with participants needing a friend.
Qualifications

  • Caring, a good listener
  • Dependable
  • Enjoy interacting with older adults
  • 14 + years of age, or accompanied by adult.
This volunteer opportunity would be ideal for home schooling families and retirees.

Description

Providence ElderPlace is an innovative program of health care and social services for older adults. Our model of care is known as PACE (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly).Participants attend the Providence ElderPlace Center on a regular basis, and transportation is provided. The ElderPlace team of health care and social service professionals and our affiliates provide comprehensive integrated care to our participants.
