Are you looking for a way to participate in your community? At Ithaka we have opportunities each month for volunteers to get to know our organization, share some snacks, and work on capital improvements projects! Each of our properties are 50+ years old and have various repair needs and your help is what keeps the residents at Ithaka safe and comfortable!
This month we need volunteers to help us paint the living room in our men's Low-Barrier transitional home. We want to bring new life into the space, and this is the first project in a queue of painting projects that we have in store for this year.
Please contact Taylor Scott at Development@ithakaland.org if you have any questions!

Description
Ithaka has been housing low-income members of our community for 40 years.
We are committed to providing support and community to all our residents so that they can achieve a self-determined vision for their own lives.
We provide safe, affordable, and supportive transitional housing services for approximately 100 residents; including seniors, immigrants, families in housing crisis, those leaving incarceration and those exiting homelessness.
We believe that everyone deserves a home and seek to house those with the highest barriers who need more time and support than most transitional housing programs can provide. Our programs provide a pathway for people out of poverty and crisis and into permanent housing.
Founded by social activists in 1981, Ithaka has always been dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. Our founders began Ithaka as a refuge for immigrants, the poor, and homeless members of our city - providing shelter, food, and support for those who needed it most.
Today, Ithaka works to honor that legacy with programs that not only provide housing, but also provide a pathway out of poverty. Our transitional housing programs provide support, security, and time for people to heal and recover from the trauma of homelessness. Like our founders, we seek to do this through relationships and community - honoring the dignity of every person - and working toward housing justice in our city.
