ORGANIZATION: Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City

Help high school students prepare for a successful future by volunteering in the classroom! During this 7-week opportunity, you'll implement our Be Entrepreneurial program with a group of high schoolers. JA Be Entrepreneurial introduces students to the essential elements of a practical business plan and then challenges them to start an entrepreneurial venture while still in high school. Students will learn about advertising, competitive advantages, financing, marketing, and product development.

You will be given all the necessary materials and Junior Achievement staff will train you so that you're prepared to go into the classroom. The classroom teacher is present during the lessons and is available to help -- you're not alone!

While this program will take place on Wednesday mornings, a start date has not been determined. If interested, you'll be connected with a classroom teacher to determine a start date.
