ORGANIZATION: Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City

Help middle school students prepare for a successful future by volunteering in the classroom! During this 6-week opportunity, you'll implement our It's my Business program with a group of middle schoolers. JA It's My Business provides middle school students an opportunity to learn how to turn an idea into a business. The program introduces students to the process of design thinking as a problem- solving process and provides an authentic entrepreneurial experience for students with each session building toward a product-pitch competition.

You will be given all the necessary materials and Junior Achievement staff will train you so that you're prepared to go into the classroom. The classroom teacher is present during the lessons and is available to help -- you're not alone!

While this program will take place on Wednesday mornings, a start date has not been determined. If interested, you'll be connected with a classroom teacher to determine a start date.
