Ronald McDonald House Charities(r) of Greater Washington, DC (RMHCDC) is seeking a reliable weekly volunteer to assist in the printing, assembly, and preparation of thank you letters for the mail.

This volunteer opportunity takes place on Tuesday and Friday morning/afternoons and requires some knowledge and comfort with computers. Training and orientation will be provided.

The position consists of:

  • Retrieving a PDF/Word file on the computer
  • Printing the PDF/Word file to the correct tray in the copy machine
  • Matching the printed letters with the printed envelopes
  • Identifying the corresponding insert
  • Folding letters
  • Stuffing envelopes with letters and insert
  • Sealing letters
  • Running letters through postage machine
  • Putting letters out for pick-up

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC, a non-profit, 501 (C) (3), eases the hardship of children’s illness on families through programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children.


Through our three core programs: two Ronald McDonald Houses(r), three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms(r), and two Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles(r); RMHCDC keeps families with sick children together and close to the medical care their child needs at leading local hospitals. RMHCDC programs not only provide access to quality health care, they enable family-centered care ensuring families are fully supported and actively involved in their children’s care.
