Ronald McDonald House Charities(r) of Greater Washington, DC (RMHCDC) is seeking a reliable weekly volunteer to assist in the printing, assembly, and preparation of thank you letters for the mail.
This volunteer opportunity takes place on Tuesday and Friday morning/afternoons and requires some knowledge and comfort with computers. Training and orientation will be provided.
The position consists of:
- Retrieving a PDF/Word file on the computer
- Printing the PDF/Word file to the correct tray in the copy machine
- Matching the printed letters with the printed envelopes
- Identifying the corresponding insert
- Folding letters
- Stuffing envelopes with letters and insert
- Sealing letters
- Running letters through postage machine
- Putting letters out for pick-up

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC, a non-profit, 501 (C) (3), eases the hardship of children’s illness on families through programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children.
Description
We help families struggling with problems like how to stay near and support a hospitalized child, how to afford staying together in another city while a child is undergoing treatment, or even how to get basic medical care in a vulnerable community. We provide solutions for these and other issues related to easing the hardship of children’s illness on families through three core programs that focus on the critical needs of children, celebrating the diversity of the donors who make them possible, staying true to our heritage of responsible stewardship, and operating with accountability and transparency.
Our programs offer help and hope where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHCDC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives in many ways. By volunteering, you can help make that happen.
